🌶️From Our Kitchen to Yours

Paneer Butter Masala (North India)
Paneer Butter Masala, also known as Paneer Makhani, was popularized in the restaurants of Delhi and Punjab in the 1950s-60s. It is believed to have been created by the chefs of Moti Mahal in Delhi, who combined soft paneer cubes with a rich tomato-butter gravy. Today, it is one of the most beloved vegetarian dishes worldwide, representing North Indian cuisine’s richness and creaminess.

Masala Dosa (South India)
Masala Dosa originated in South India, especially Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and has roots in traditional fermented rice and lentil pancakes. The potato filling (masala) was added later to make it more flavorful and filling. It became a staple breakfast and street food dish, loved for its crispiness, tangy chutney, and combination of textures. Masala Dosa is now famous worldwide as a symbol of South Indian cuisine.

Dhokla (Gujarat)
Originated in Gujarat, dhokla was invented as a healthy, fermented snack. Its spongy texture comes from fermentation with yogurt and baking soda. Traditionally served with green chutney and fried chilies.

Pakhala Bhata (Odisha)
A traditional summer dish in Odisha, believed to cool the body during hot months. Often eaten with mustard greens or fried fish.
